The Cognex DMR-8600 Handheld Barcode Reader offers Industrial Ethernet communication and advanced technology for reading 1D and 2D codes regardless of size, quality, printing method, or surface. The DMR-8600 is available with patented 1DMax+ with Hotbars, class-leading 2-D algorithms and future-proof modular communication slide-ins. 

The DMR-8600 readers use Cognex's patented UltraLight and high-speed liquid lens technology with advanced algorithms to read Direct Part Mark barcodes. UltraLight illumination provides flexible lighting control to create dark field, bright field, and diffuse lighting. The reader features a tuning button for easy configuration and extended read attempts.

An intelligent base station is provided when the DMR-8600 reader uses Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection. The base station acts as a router between the reader and your computer, PLC, or network. Infrastructure Mode does not use the base station for communication.
