Description

The GE-Emerson IC670MDD441 Field Control Mixed Discrete I/O Module includes electronic short-circuit protection. Each output point also includes electronic overcurrent protection, and generates a fault if either overcurrent or short-circuit conditions exist. The module fault is then reported to the bus interface unit (BIU).

Power for the module itself comes from the power supply in the BIU. An external source of DC power must be provided for the switches that power the loads. The common line on DC power is also the return for the input circuits.
