Description

The GE-Emerson IC655MDL593 is a 5 to 12VDC positive logic output module designed for controlling user output loads. It features 64 circuits, 32 outputs, and 32 LED indicators. The output circuits and an NPN transistor type and divided into four groups of 16 within the unit. Each of the 32 outputs has an LED light associated with it. These LEDs can provide a visual indication of each input circuit or, during programming, indicate the starting I/O address for the module.

Field wiring connections to output loads are made to two 37-pin subminiature D-type connectors, mounted on the front of the module. One connector is used for two groups with 16 inputs in each group. The groups are labeled A through H and the pins within the groups are labeled 1 to 8 for identification. Each group has a common connection, labeled C. A 5 to 12VDC power supply must be connected to each group for the unit to supply the load and output circuits.
