Repair GE-Emerson IC655MDL580 Series Five Output Module

The GE-Emerson IC655MDL580 is a 16-circuit relay output module with VC and AC voltage compatibility designed to control user output loads. The module's output switching capacity is two amps, resistive load. It also has 16 LEDs that provide a visual status indication of each circuit and, during programming, can display the module’s starting I/O address. This unit can handle voltage loads of either 5 to 30VDC or 5 to 265VAC. This module is designed to serve as the hot or common terminal for AC or DC loads.

Circuit connections are made to the removable terminal block on the front of the module. The output circuits are divided into two groups of eight. On the terminal block, they are labeled A and B, with each terminal in the group labeled 1 to 8. Each group of eight has a single common connection, labeled H. An AC or DC power source must be supplied for loads connected to the module’s output circuits, and 24 VDC to power the module’s output circuitry.
