Description

The GE-Emerson IC655MDL555 is a positive logic output module with 16 circuits for controlling user output loads. This unit operates with a 12 to 24VDC voltage and the output switching capacity is two amps. The 16 LEDs on the front of the module provide a visual status indication each output and, when programming the unit, it can indicate the starting I/O address for the module.

Connections to each circuit are made to the removable terminal block on the front of the module. The output circuits are divided into four groups internally. On the terminal block, the groups are combined and are labeled A and B, with 8 circuits in each group. The terminals in each group are labeled 1 to 8. Each group of eight has a single common connection, labeled C. A 24VDC power source must be connected in order to power for both the load and the output circuit. Both groups can be powered from a single power source or each group can be powered from a separate source.
