Description

The GE-Emerson IC655MDL551 is an output module with 16 N-MOS FET open drain circuits for controlling user output loads. This module operates at 12 to 24VDC with a 2amp current and has an output switching capacity of 2amps. It has 16 LEDs on the front of the module that provide a visual indication of circuit status. Additionally, when commanded programming the LEDs can indicate the starting I/O address for the module.

Connections to each circuit are made to the removable terminal block on the front of the module. The output circuits are divided into two groups, labeled A and B with the terminals in each group labeled 1 to 8. Each group has a single common connection, labeled C, for the eight circuits in the group. A 24VDC power source must be provided to power both the load and the output circuit. Both groups can be powered from a single power source or each group can be powered from a separate source.
