The GE-Emerson IC660EPM100 Genius PowerTrac Block executes the logic functions and mathematical operations required for a Genius I/O module. IC660EPM100 monitors current and voltage inputs, storing digitized waveform values for each input, and subsequently calculating various parameters such as kilowatt hours, current, active power, RMS voltage, reactive power, and power factor based on these digitized waveform values. The calculated data is automatically transmitted to a host PLC or computer at approximately two-second intervals. Additionally, the Genius HHM has the capability to display the same data either locally or from any connection point on the bus.

The IC660EPM100 can be integrated with both delta configured 3-phase power systems and single-phase power systems. It accepts voltage inputs from 1 to 3 potential transformers and current inputs from up to three line current transformers, along with a neutral current transformer. This monitoring device can be installed on a Genius bus at up to a distance of 7500 feet away from the host computer or PLC. It is also suitable for stand-alone applications, functioning independently without the need for a host.
