The Allen-Bradley 1756-IB16 ControlLogix DC Digital Input Module uses Producer-Consumer technology, allowing input information and output status to be shared among multiple ControlLogix controllers. All ControlLogix I/O modules mount in a ControlLogix chassis.

The module includes 16 I/O status LED indicators on the front side, each of which turns yellow when its corresponding input is active, and the user can assign a filtering time for each input. Filtering can be set to 0ms (no filtering) thru 18ms. The module can be inserted or removed under power.
