The Allen-Bradley 1756-OB8 ControlLogix DC Digital Output Module is ideal for energizing electrical loads that operate in DC voltage and AC loads, with interposing circuitry. The 1756-OB8 is a single slot module and occupies any available slot of the chassis except for the left-most slot. It can act as a local I/O component or as part of a distributed I/O system. The module can install in any ControlLogix chassis and operate along standard or power supply modules. 

The module uses a removable terminal block (RTB) to connect the module's channels to electrical loads, and can communicate in multiple formats: rack optimization, listen-only rack optimization, listen-only output data, output data, and scheduled output data. The module can also perform pilot duty.
