The Allen-Bradley 1746-IB16 SLC 500 Current Sinking DC Input Module includes self-lifting pressure plates that accept 14 AWG size conductors. The module comes with a color-coded removable terminal block (RTB), which provides a simplified wiring base and allows for an easier exchange of I/O modules without rewiring. 

The module features optical isolation between input and backplane, surge protection, and input filtering capability for maintaining reliability in noisy industrial environments.
