The Allen-Bradley 1756-DHRIO ControlLogix DH Plus and RIO Communications Module can transfer a message through a maximum of three chassis and four communication networks. The module enables information exchange among PLCs, SLCs, and ControlLogix controllers, even on different networks. The network type switches for each channel must be programmed prior to module install, and a ControlLogix power supply must be connected to the chassis. The DH+ and Remote I/O network follows daisy-chain topology, requiring the use of a terminating resistor installed at the first and last node of the network.
