The Allen-Bradley 1747-L514 SLC 500 Controller Processor is compatible with a DH-485 device as a receiver (slave) in the programming channel. The chassis must be powered off before removing or installing the processor to avoid harm to the user or damage to the equipment. The processor's battery may be replaced while the processor is on. 

The processor is designed for use in small and medium automation applications, and supports implementation of extended I/O and remote I/O chassis via a supported communication adapter.
