The Allen-Bradley 1746-A7 SLC 500 7-Slot Rack houses a modular processor, communication adapter module, and I/O modules for an SLC 500 PLC system. Seven slots provide flexibility in system configuration, and the rack can be used as a standalone unit in a single system, or with another one or two local chassis. 

Signal lines can be extended and multiple chassis configured using a chassis interconnection cable, creating a total maximum of 30 I/O slots.
