The Allen-Bradley 1756-LSP GuardLogix 5560 Programmable Automation Controller Processor is a safety partner controller with 250 connections, but without memory for standard tasks as its safety memory relies on the memory of its corresponding primary controller. The controller provides a second, isolated, redundant channel for safety-related functions of the system. The controller is shipped with a CompactFlash nonvolatile memory card, and the controller should be installed to the right of its primary controller, satisfying SIL 3 and Performance Level (e) compliance.
