The GE-Emerson IC609EXP110 Series One Junior I/O Expansion Unit provides 16 input circuits designed to receive a single discrete (ON/OFF) signal from user supplied devices, such as pushbuttons, limit switches, and relay contacts.

The 10 output circuits are each capable of controlling user-supplied discrete (ON/OFF) loads. These loads typically are devices such as relay coils, motor starters, and indicator lights. Output circuits are arranged in 2 groups, with 4 circuits in the C1 group and 6 circuits in the C2 group. Each of the 2 groups is protected by a 5 Amp fuse. The ON or OFF state of each circuit is indicated by an LED (one per circuit) located under the appropriate circuit number on the lens.
